And if finding a way to stay active during normal times is a challenge, it is important to note that the pandemic has made things even worse. Gyms and other public workout spaces have been closed at times and even when they reopened the limited number of people allowed in still did not make many people feel safe enough to return. When you combine the people who no longer go to the gym because of the pandemic with the large numbers of people who already were not working out, it is easy to understand that this is another health crisis in itself.
